I got a 143 on the alexithymia test and I am 16, is there something to worry about and do I need to go to a therapist or am I fine???

There is nothing wrong with you, but just understand that emotions are a hard topic in discussions. A relationship can be extremely hard depending on the needs of your partner. I just separated after nine yrs. of marriage because my ex-wife simply needed more of an emotional connection than I could provide.

Otherwise, friends, social gather, having fun, work... there really shouldn't be any issues and just keep doing what you want to do... be who you are.

Alexithymia - emotional blindness - is a personality trait characterized by the inability to identify and describe emotions in the self. Core characteristics of alexithymia are marked dysfunction in emotional awareness, social attachment, and interpersonal relationship.
